What is WWW? The World Wide Web(WWW) uses the Internet to retrieve information referred in the links in the web pages. It uses Hyper Text Markup Language(HTML) and Hyper Text Transfer Protocol(HTTP) to reference a document and make it readily available to you upon clicking on that reference. So the web basically gives us a graphical interface making navigation or information retrieval easy. It makes the information interchange dynamic rather than linear. The World Wide Web is not just the interlinking of documents. It also allows interaction with the user and makes surfing more interesting. The WWW protocols make it possible to make a web page with links to other sites and bring up information from those links without their knowledge and permission. This makes easy the distribution of information. Next>
